Rügen is the largest island of Germany. Steep cliffs form the abrupt transition from the country to the endless sea. It is a place to search for the essence and simplicity.
Muchas veces la fauna salvaje la tenemos más cerca de lo que creemos. Cuando los humanos se retiran a descansar, cerca de las ciudades entran en actividad muchos animales. En este caso una pareja de ginetas (genetta genetta), busqué el encuadre adecuado para sacar la ciudad al fondo, coronada por su castillo. Utilicé una exposición larga 3.2 seg. para el pueblo y cuatro flashes para la gineta. Las ginetas pueden complementar su alimentación con frutas, bayas y otros alimentos de origen vegetal, que les aportan las vitaminas y minerales necesarios para su supervivencia, demostrando así su adaptabilidad a todo tipo de condiciones. En este caso supieron sacar provecho de los frutos que el hombre cultiva para sí. Quise plasmar este comportamiento en un parral con uvas. Estas no tardaron en consumir los frutos vorazmente. Ágiles pueden saltar y trepar por cualquier sitio que se propongan.
Our world is turbulent, noisy and full of distraction. With these treescapes I try to provide silence, comfortable places of rest. When all goes quiet, the landscape shows its sublimity and stand alone trees appear to take on a more distinctive status. They can form a metaphorical connection between the prosaic and the ethereal world. Once in a while, small mystic moments happen. A veil of mist wraps itself around the mountain peak, enfolding some old and sturdy Huangshan pine trees. A delicate Rowan tree, being embellished with a fanciful crown of clouds. Is it a result of chance, a fortunate stroke of serendipity, or more ? In any way, I love to take photos of these occasions and hope that they can give pleasure to those who take the time to stop and look.
